CLASS POLICIES

REGISTRATION:
Payment is due at time of registration. Space is often limited. We encourage you to register early.
CANCELLATION:
If Quilter's Way cancels a class for lack of registration, you will receive a full refund of your class fee. You may cancel your registration up to 2 weeks prior to the class and receive a store credit. This policy gives us the chance to find a replacement for your class seat. NO REFUND will be given if we receive your cancellation later than 2 weeks before the class date. PLEASE do not ask us to make an exception for you.
SUPPLIES:
A supply list will be provided for each class. When a pattern or book is required, we expect each student to own a copy. We respect and honor all copyright laws.

*Fashion Design Clinic with Jane Barnett
DATE: Tuesday, July 8 TIME: 6:00pm-9:00pm FEE: $25
This clinic is intended as a studio for teen fashion designers who plan to participate in our fall runway show but is open to anyone who wants to explore fashion design or couture sewing. An instructor will be available to provide guidance on pattern alteration, garment fitting and sewing techniques. Demonstrations will occasionally be offered in couture sewing methods: how to choose the proper seam closure, install a zipper, add a hem, etc. Dress forms are available for use during clinic hours.
*Quilted Tote for Kids with Jane Barnett
DATE: Tues, July 8 and Thurs, July 10 TIME: 10:00am-1:00pm FEE: $55 + kit fee
Designed for beginning sewers aged 9 and up, Designed for novice sewers aged 9 and up, this sewing session begins with basic sewing techniques and sewing machine safety and then walks the students through the construction of a quilted tote bag. It's a big thrill to see how professionally constructed these bags are - Vera Bradley watch out!

DATE: Friday, July 11 TIME: 2:00pm-5:00pm FEE: $25
This clinic is intended as a studio for teen fashion designers who plan to participate in our fall runway show but is open to anyone who wants to explore fashion design or couture sewing. *Create A Vest with Karen Pulaski
DATE: Sunday, July 13 TIME: 12:00pm-5:00pm FEE: $45
Want to explore your creative side? Give this class a try. Karen will help you to create a vest that is uniquely you. Bring your own pattern or pick from our favorites - either way you can learn some new piecing and embellishing techniques and walk away with a new garment.
*Kids Learn to Sew with Jane Barnett
DATE: Tues, July 15 and Thurs, July 17 TIME: 10:00am-1:00pm FEE: $55 + kit fee
Designed for beginning sewers aged 8 and up, this sewing session teaches the students basic sewing machine skills as they make a bright pillow case with fabrics of their choice. No sewing experience required but the ability to focus for 3 hours is essential.

This clinic is intended as a studio for teen fashion designers who plan to participate in our fall runway show but is open to anyone who wants to explore fashion design or couture sewing. *Make A Valance with Jane Barnett
DATE: Tues, July 15 TIME: 6:00pm-9:00pm FEE: $25 + pattern
Summer is the time to give your rooms a new look. We've got just the way to get started. Use a simple reversible valance pattern to get your feet wet. You may also choose a pattern of your own with prior permission from the instructor. Jane will make sure that you get organized and that your project is well underway. If you make the reversible valance you should finish it before the class is over!
*Scrap Therapy Cutting Workshop with Ruth McFarland
DATE: Sunday, July 20 TIME: 12:00pm-2:00pm FEE: $15
This workshop, for Scrap Therapy members only, is an opportunity to whip your scraps into a few standard sizes so that making Scrap Therapy quilts is a real snap!
*Rectangle Rhapsody with Ruth McFarland
DATE: Sunday, July 20 TIME: 2:00pm-5:00pm FEE: $25
This class, for Scrap Therapy members only, helps you get down to the business of using up your stash. Bring your Scrap Therapy tote full of organized scraps and see them transform into fun projects. A melody in rectangles is the featured pattern this month. Your Scrap Therapy bin holds just what you'll need or you can use a jelly roll if you prefer. Either way, this quilt will be a favorite after this class.
*Kids Easy Breezy BackSack with Jane Barnett
DATE: Tues, July 22 and Thurs, July 24 TIME: 10:00am-1:00pm FEE: $55 + kit fee
Designed for novice sewers aged 9 and up, this sewing session begins with a review of basic sewing techniques and sewing machine safety and then helps the students create a cute but practical backpack. Designed by Lizzie B Cre8ive this "back sack" is a delight because it is so straightforward that even a beginner can be successful making it.
*Christmas Workshop with Donna Whalen
DATE: Tuesday, July 22 TIME: 6:00pm-9:00pm FEE: $25 + kit fee
It's Christmas in July! Yes, we've bowed to pressure. We've kitted some great holiday projects featuring Donna's wool and redwork talent. Pick your project and join Donna for some holiday cheer this summer! You couldn't learn the ins and outs of wool applique and redwork from a more talented instructor.

*Midnight Madness with Ruth McFarland
DATE: Saturday, July 26 TIME: 6:00pm-Midnight FEE: $45
Think you'll be too sleepy to sew? Don't worry - you'll be having too much fun to nod off. Join us for six hours of sewing with all the resources of the shop at your fingertips. Bring whatever projects need your attention, we'll provide the encouragement!
*Open Studio with Karen Pulaski
DATE: Sunday, July 27 TIME: 12:00pm-5:00pm FEE: $45
Just learning to sew or want to learn? Stymied with a technique? Have a project you want to start or finish? Want to try something new? Each student designs his or her own class in this studio. Karen is happy to help with small home decorating projects, work on basic sewing skills or give you any kind of help you need.
*Kids PJs with Jane Barnett
DATE: Tues, July 29 and Thurs, July 31 TIME: 10:00am-1:00pm FEE: $55 + pattern
Designed for novice sewers aged 9 and up, this sewing session begins with a review of basic sewing techniques and sewing machine safety and then guides the students through the construction of a pair of pj pants. Students who have previously completed this project may choose a similar project for approval by the instructor.
