Class Guidelines
Before you register for a class at Quilter’s Way, there are a few things we want you to know. If you sign up for one of our classes, you’re making a commitment and agreeing to the following policies (even if you don’t actually read them).
Registration Policy:
Pre-registration is required for all classes. You must pay in full in order to be considered registered for a class. Unless indicated in the class description, supplies are not included in the class fee.
Class Supplies:
You can bring your own supplies or buy them at Quilter’s Way. Most supplies required for our classes are available at Quilter’s Way. It is usually best to shop for supplies prior to the class start date. You are expected to bring the supplies listed as "REQUIRED" to the first class unless otherwise instructed. If you fail to bring the required supplies, you will need to borrow from a classmate or purchase them during class.
To comply with copyright laws, each student must have their own of any book or pattern required for class. We are committed to supporting the designers in our industry. We take this commitment very seriously. Please don’t ask us to make an exception for you.
Cancellation Policy:
Please check your calendar carefully and make sure that you are free before you register for a class or event because refunds will not be given unless the class is cancelled by Quilter’s Way.
Minimum enrollment for all classes is three students. Quilter’s Way reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient enrollment (you will get your choice of a class transfer, store credit or a full refund). Students will be notified three(3) days in advance of a class cancellation at the number you gave us when you registered.
If you cannot attend a class for any reason, you must call and notify us as far in advance as possible so that we can make critical decisions about the class. You are always welcome to send someone in your place but you must let us know of your plans.
When you give us fourteen(14) days (or more) notice, we will happily transfer your class fee to another class or issue store credit for the full amount paid. If you give us less than fourteen(14) but more than seven(7) days notice, you will forfeit 50% of the class fee. For example, if you paid $50 for the class, you will get $25 in store credit. No exceptions.
Cancellation notices received less than seven(7) days in advance of the class start date are not eligible for store credit. Please remember that no one will call you to remind you of your class, and “no-shows” will not be eligible for store credit. No exceptions.
Class Etiquette
Classes begin promptly at the listed time. Be considerate of your classmates and the instructor by being on time. If you need time to shop before class begins, plan to arrive early. Being on time and attending all classes is important if you want to have a successful learning experience.
We can’t provide make-up classes unless the instructor is forced to cancel class. While we will do our best to make sure that you catch up during the classes that you can attend, we can’t guarantee that you’ll be able to complete the scheduled project on your own. If you’re not sure you’ll be able to make all the classes as listed on the calendar, consider waiting until the class is offered again or discussing your attendance with the instructor.
We restrict the size of classes to ensure individual attention for each student. To keep distraction to a minimum, children and guests are not allowed in the classroom. In addition, we ask that if you must keep your cell phone on, please put it on vibrate.
